Ranchi (By our correspondent): The main opposition party in Jharkhand the JMM said that police lathi charge of para teachers and media persons at the Morhabadi grounds has left the party as well as the entire state shocked.
Addressing a press conference here today party’s general secretary and spokesperson Binod Pandey said that before the Chief Minister and Governor itself the lathi charge was ordered following which the young and old and even women para teachers were mercilessly beaten up by the police in which hundreds of them sustained injuries and many of them were in a serious condition. On the other hand about a dozen media persons were also beaten up badly by the police, he said.
Mr Pandey said that his party was surprised by the fact that neither the Governor nor the Chief Minister or any other higher government official made a comment over the incident. He said that across the state the people are fighting for their rights but the governments instead of listening to them was using all possible means to silence
the agitation of the people.
