Maoists set poclain machines and pickup van on fire in Palamau

Daltonganj: Ultras belonging to the CPI Maoists set on fire four poclain machines and a pickup van on fire in a stone mine located at
Manandohar- Dhakathan under Naudiha Bazar Police Station area of the Palamu district. The stone mine belongs to zilla parishad cum BJP leader Binod Singh. 

Palamu SP Inderjeet Mahta who himself inspected the site and reviewed the action being taken against the Maoists. He said that the joint team of the police and CRPF were conducting raids to nab the ultras. Mr Mahtha sais that the incident had been executed by the maoists for the want of levy. 

A mine employee said that 10 men in uniform late last night reached the mine and took the workers hostage and also snatched their mobile phones. Later they poured kerosene which they had brought with them and set the machine and vehicles on fire.
