Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das announced that two centers of excellence for football will be opened in the state by Jharkhand Sports Authority in Ranchi and Deoghar to promote the sports and nurture emerging footballers.
Addressing the people after the conclusion of the Chief Minister invitation cup football tournament at Ranchi College grounds here he said in the year 2017 the state government formed Kamal Clubs in all the blocks of the state through which work was on to bring out the hidden talent from the rural areas to the state level and said that the state government wanted to take the state further forward in football.
Mr. Das said that all the talents footballers from the panchayat to the district level would be provided kits free of cost and will also make arrangements for an expert coach for the training of the players. He said that players from the tribal community who would be opting for football they would be provided free of cost dress and sports equipment. He said that daughter of the state have brought laurels at national and international level. He said that the state government has decided that at all block and district level football team of girls will be formed and all other facilities will be provided to them.
Mr. Das said that there was no dearth of talent among the girls of the state which would be brought forward by the state government. The Chief Minister said that the state government wanted the players of an international standard should out of the state and represent the state and the nation. He said that Jharkhand is a land of talented sportspersons whether in the area of hockey, archery or cricket who have gone on to make a name for themselves and also the state and same should happen with football.
