Pakur (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das reviewed the development schemes being implemented in this district and said that there was a tremendous opportunity for improvement in roads, water, education and healthcare sector in the area. Reviewing the progress of development schemes here he said that by the end of this year power would reach all the homes. He said that clean water is a priority of the state government and asked the officials to speed up the task of providing water through pipelines and even the members of the primitive tribe group should be provided water through pipelines.
He said that there are numerous complaints regarding illegal stone mining in the area and said that as per law license should be given for stone mining which would also help to provide revenue for the state government. For improving the education he said that the educated youth of the villages should be hired on per class basis to teach the children. Mr Das said that such an initiative will bring a change in the lives.
He also asked the officials to issue notice and remove from jobs such para teachers who do not turn up for work and in their place, TET pass youth should be appointed. He advocated the need to adopt modern technologies in the field of agriculture so that the income can be increased. The Chief Minister said that two farmers from Pakur were also sent to Israel and they should now work as master trainers and provide training to the farmers.
He said that youth groups should be encouraged to take up dairy farming and similarly, the Sakhi mandals should be trained so that they can get jobs. The Chief Minister said that at no cost law and order would be compromised in the state and the anti-national forces will not be allowed to spread and any steps to create panic in the area will not be tolerated. He asked the officials to keep a strict eye on Bangladeshi intrusion and religious conversions in the areas and said that strict action should be taken if reports of any forceful religious conversions come up. Those present in the meeting included DC, SP and other senior officials.
