Ranchi: Ultras of the prescribed CPI Maoist attacked a Police patrolling party at Kukru Bazar under Tiruldih police station area of the Saraikela district in which five policemen were martyred. Police Headquarter sources said that among the five policemen who have been martyred included 3 jawans and a couple of ASI rank policemen.
Post the incident additional troops from the district headquarters have been rushed to the spot. Police sources said that the patrolling party was on a routine patrol in the area when the mouth was open fire over the policeman and after killing them they looted their arms and fled from the spot.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has condemned the attack on police personnel in Saraikela and said that their martyrdom will not go in waste. He said that in the time of the grief the entire people of Jharkhand and the state government was with the family members of the martyr policemen.
He said that Maoists were breathing their last in the state and frustration they had executed the incident. However such acts will not let the moral of the state government and the security personnel get down and strong action against them will continue.
