Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that displacement has been one of the main problems in the state as land is taken for development works but later the people are left to be displaced. Kick starting the plantation drive in R and R colony made in Kutte village he said that despite being the land owners the people are called displaced however his government is of the view that those who give their land for the development works are the real land owners and therefore they are being rehabilitated first before being displaced and they are being made owners and said that the colony which has been made for the displaced in Kutte is a fine example of the works of the government.
The Chief Minister said that the colony will be named after great freedom Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo. He said that the government has undertaken plantation drive here therefore it was the responsibility of the people to look after them as trees and plants are necessary for both life and culture and they needed to be conserved and asked the people not to use plastic for environment protection. Mr Das called on the woman to make Sakhi Mandals and they would be provided training and linked with jobs.
He said that this year the state government has linked 40,000 women with self employment who all are part of Sakhi Mandals and they are now being linked with ready to eat meal. She said that now rural women will prepare the nutritious food for the Anganwadi centers which will help save Rs 500 crore which use to go outside and will remain in the rural economy.
Mr Das said that the remaining work in the colony will be completed by January and on January 14 a Griha Pravesh function will be organised. He said that the women of the colony will be provided training in house keeping tailoring and youth will be trained in different skills and they will be provided jobs in the new Secretariat building. Those present on the occasion also included Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal Additional Chief Secretary of Forest Department Indushekhar Chaturvedi and others.
